BYU Cafeteria Project

Creative Partition Systems, working alongside general contractor Jacobsen Construction, is one of the key subcontractors on the Brigham Young University cafeteria project. The BYU cafeteria is a two-story building that is an expansion for the BYU Hawaii campus. The project includes a new dining facility and dry storage on the first floor, as well as fine dining and offices on the second floor. The scopes for the project that require specialty expertise are the installation of the continuous linear panels, which are directly attached to the sloping steel trusses, the spraying of foam insulation along the perimeter walls, and submittal of a shop drawing to show the other trades how to interface with our material.  Project team members include project manager and estimator Al Gapuz, project assistant Natalie Uchida, superintendent Alapati Sula, and foreman Fred Passion.

CPS’ scope of work consists of light gauge metal framing, gypsum wallboard assemblies, spray insulation, synthetic plaster, continuous linear panels, and acoustical ceilings with Axiom trims.
