Shioi Construction, Inc. and its drywall division CPS teamed up with Mark Ventura AIA to build Kauai Medical Clinic at Kauai Village Shopping Center. The new clinic is a tenant improvement project which was constructed in an existing shell. It has 16 patient rooms, as well as a variety of consultation rooms, work stations, restrooms, and office rooms for the staff.
CPS’ work scope included metal framing, drywall, taping, insulation, acoustical ceiling, and wood tile ceiling system. Shioi’s scope of work within the shell included new MEPs, ceramic and resilient flooring, paint, storefront doors and windows, interior aluminum windows, millwork, solid surface corian countertops, p-lam wood doors, pocket doors, 3-Form panels, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, access control systems, and a new electric room built from CMU block. Shioi also poured concrete to the underground plumbing, leveled the entrance way to the suite, and constructed two new ADA ramps for wheelchair accessibility.
